“TD is thrilled to give back to our local community by supporting the SMGH Foundation with a $50,000.00 donation,” says Patti Hodgins, Branch Manager of TD Canada Trust.

Each year for the next five years, the SMGH Foundation will distribute $10,000 of this contribution from the TD Grants in Medical Excellence program to medical professional(s) at SMGH in order to upgrade their skills through an educational course or conference.

“We are very grateful for the support of TD Canada Trust,” says Susan McLean, SMGH Foundation CEO.  “These grants will benefit the nurses, doctors and caregivers working in our hospital to provide quality health care services to their patients.”

Applications for 2017 SMGH Foundation Medical Professional Education Grants will be available in the Fall of 2016 at the SMGH Foundation Office and online: www.smghfoundation.  All SMGH medical professionals interested in furthering their healthcare educational skills are encouraged to apply before the deadline of January 31st, 2017.
